[ABOUT THE GAME]
TERMINATOR is an intense, retro-styled arcade survival game. You are the last line of defense against the Violet Virus, a malicious entity taking over system processes. If the CPU usage hits 100%, the system faces a total meltdown!
[KEY FEATURES]
- 🥊 Manual Virus Termination: Get up close and delete infections before they multiply!
- 🪟 Pop-up Chaos: Close intrusive windows (watch out for that tricky "X" hitbox!) before they blind your vision.
- 🕺 Smooth Criminal Mechanics: Use your crouch move and the iconic "Hee Hee" sound to dance around danger.
- 🐑 The Sheep Protocol: Find the "Baranek" – a benign virus that helps you reclaim system resources.
- 🔦 Atmospheric Visuals: Navigate the darkness of the terminal using your flashlight shader.
[JAM IMPROVEMENTS (Change Log)]
For the Improve My Game Jam 44, I focused on upgrading the core experience:
- Fluid Character Animations: Implemented a 3-frame Idle/Breathing cycle and a 4-frame Run cycle.
- New System Interface: Developed a functional Main Menu with interactive START and EXIT buttons.
- Refined Logic: Improved pop-up hitboxes and added a "Pac-Man" style screen-wrapping effect.
- Audio Integration: Added dynamic sound effects and background lo-fi tracks that respond to player actions.
- New type of virus!
